Zepturb
St. Ives, Cornwall - At 11.57 a-m- on 9th April, 1966, the owner of the speedboat Zepturb informed the honorary secretary that his boat was out of fuel and was drifting out to sea in St. Ives Bay.
The IRB was launched immediately in a gentle to moderate south-south-westerly breeze and a choppy sea. The tide was ebbing. The IRB came up with the Zepturb with five people on board very close to Merryn Rock, and she was pulled clear with only feet to spare and was taken in tow to St. Ives Harbour. The IRB, after towing the Zepturb to St. Ives, returned to her station at 12.15 P-m-.
