Poole, Dorset-At 7.15 p.m. on 2yth March, 1966, a motor launch with three members of the Parkstone Yacht Club on board, which was going to a yacht moored in the middle of the harbour, broke down and was in difficulties. There was a gale from the west north west with a rough sea. The tide was flooding. The life-boat Bassett Green set off at 7.30 and took the launch safely in tow to Poole, arriving at 8.30.
