The Motor Fishing Vessels Lead Us and Winifred

Bridlington, Yorkshire. At 7.35 a.m.

on 2nd December, 1965, two motor fishing vessels, Lead Us and Winifred, were reported to be still at sea in bad conditions. The life-boat Tillie Morrison, Sheffield II was launched at 7.50 in a south-easterly gale and a very rough sea.

It was three hours to high water. The life-boat found the fishing boats making for harbour and escorted them until they were safely in the harbour. The lifeboat returned to her station at 9.15 a.m..
