William and Martha and Venture
ESCORTED FISHING BOATS At 8.20 a.m. on i6th November, 1965, two small fishing cobles were reported to be out in very bad weather conditions and the life-boat Mary Ann Hepworth was launched at 8.30 in a south-easterly gale and a rough sea. It was one hour to high water. The life-boat found the coble William and Martha and escorted her towards harbour, and while doing this came upon the other coble, Venture. The life-boat escorted both vessels into harbour and was back at her station at 9.50 a.m..
