KEEPER LANDED At 9 a.m. on 9th November, 1965, the Inspector of Irish Lights asked the honorary secretary for the life-boat's assistance to place a deputy keeper on Tuskar Rock lighthouse. The life-boat Douglas Hyde set out at 10.45 towing the boarding boat in a moderate south-westerly breeze and in moderate seas. It was low water. The keeper was landed at the lighthouse and the life-boat returned, reaching her station at 1.30 p.m..
