Havlyn (1)
CARGO MIGHT SHIFT Holyhead, Anglesey. At 11.15 p.m.
on 28th November, 1965, the coastguard notified the honorary secretary that the Norwegian motor vessel Havlyn intended to weigh anchor and proceed to Holyhead.
Her master was afraid that her cargo might shift. The life-boat St. Cybi (Civil Service No. 9) was launched at 11.23 to escort the vessel, which had a list to port, to Holyhead. There was a strong north-westerly breeze blowing and the sea was rough. It was two hours to high water. The life-boat reached the Havlyn, which was three miles south-west of South Stack, and escorted her to Holyhead.
The life-boat was back at her station at 12.50 a.m..
