BOYS STRANDED At7p.m.on27thAugust,i965,thepolice reported a boy was stranded on Sully Island. The life-boat Rachel and Mary Evans was launched at 7.15 and took a small boat in tow. There was a light westerly breeze, a smooth sea and it was two and a half hours before high water.

While at sea it was learnt that three boys were also stranded at St. Mary Well bay on top of a rock and the life-boat picked up all four boys and returned to the station, arriving at 9.29 p.m..
