Fishing Boats
Selsey, Sussex. During the morning of 23rd July, 1965, the wind increased and anxiety was felt for the safety of four small fishing boats which were about four miles offshore. At 10.30 a.m. the life-boat Canadian Pacific was launched in a south-westerly gale. The sea was very rough and the tide ebbing. The lifeboat escorted the fishing boats to Selsey and returned to her station at noon. The fishermen expressed their thanks..
