Ex-Coxswain Murdo Sinclair

Ex-coxswain Murdo Sinclair died on igth July, 1965, at the age of 81. He had been coxswain of the Barra Island life-boat for over fifteen years and was awarded the silver medal of the Institution in 1943 for taking the life-boat forty miles in a southerly gale and rescuing fifteen people from a steamer which had been wrecked under the cliffs of Skye..
