Penlee, Cornwall. At 10 p.m. on 27th August, 1965, the honorary secretary told the coxswain that a vessel was making Mounts Bay with a sick stewardess on board who required medical treatment Arrangements were made for the lifeboat Solomon Browne to meet the vessel four miles south of Penzance at 5.30 a.m.

on the 28th. The life-boat was launched at 4.50 and arrived alongside the motor vessel Cavallo of Hull. There was a light south-westerly breeze and a smooth sea.

The stewardess was transferred and landed at Newlyn at 6.30 a.m. and the life-boat returned to her station..
