A Catamaran (1)

Walmer, Kent. At 4 p.m. on 2oth July, 1965, the honorary secretary saw a catamaran capsize one mile offshore from the life-boathouse. At 4.10 p.m. the IRB launched in a southerly breeze and corresponding sea. The catamaran, whose crew of two were exhausted after struggling to right her, had drifted two miles.

The IRB took the catamaran in tow and returned to her station at 5.20 p.m..
