Two Fishing Boats
Lowestoft, Suffolk. At 9 a.m. on 3oth March, 1965, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that two small fishing boats which had put out in fine weather had got into difficulties when the weather suddenly became worse. The life-boat Frederick Edward Crick set out at 9.10 in a fresh north-easterly breeze and moderate sea. The tide was ebbing. The lifeboat found the fishing boats, one of which was towing the other, and escorted them to Kessingland. The life-boat returned to her moorings at 11.45 a-m-.
