Maratha Enterprise

Workington, Cumberland. At 7 p.m.

on I3th May, 1965, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that there was an injured man on board the motor vessel Maratha Enterprise of Nassau.

The life-boat Manchester and Salford XXIX put to sea shortly afterwards in calm weather. The tide was flooding. The injured man was taken aboard the lifeboat and landed at Workington at 8 p.m..
