The Lynwell Lightvessel

DENTAL CARES Skegness, Lincolnshire. At u a.m.

on 15th January, 1965, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a man aboard the Lynwell lightvessel required urgent dental treatment and the use of the life-boat was requested. The life-boat Charles Fred Grantham was launched at 12.30 p.m. in a fresh southwesterly breeze and smooth sea. The tide was two hours flood. The life-boat reached the lightvessel and the patient was taken aboard. At 3 o'clock the sick man was landed and the police took him by car to a dentist. The life-boat reached her station at 3 p.m..
