Monte Aracus

WOMAN PASSENGER ILL Fishguard, Pembrokeshire. At 4 p.m. on 3rd March, 1965, the harbour master informed the honorary secretary that a passenger on board the motor vessel Monte Aracus of Bilbao was sick and needed medical attention. At 4.35 the lifeboat Howard Marryat was launched on the flooding tide. There was a gale blowing from the south east and a rough sea.

The life-boat embarked the patient, a woman, and landed her at the life-boathouse at 6.30 where an ambulance took her to hospital..
