IN POLISH TRAWLER At 10.12 p.m. on i6th November, 1964, the coastguard told the honorary secretary that the Polish trawler Lyna, sheltering in Margate roads, had an injured man aboard and had requested medical help. At 10.43, one hour after high water, the life-boat North Foreland (Civil Service No. n) was launched Into a rough sea and near gale force westerly wind. At 11.30 the injured seaman was put aboard the life-boat and landed at Margate, where he was taken to hospital. The life-boat moored in the harbour soon after midnight and was rehoused the next day..
