A Yacht (1)

NOBODY ON BOARD Walton and Frinton, Essex. At 7.45 a.m. on 6th December, 1964, the coastguard told the honorary secretary that the Cork lightvessel had reported a yacht drifting about a quarter of a mile southwest of the lightvessel, apparently without anyone on board. The life-boat Edian Courtauld left at 8.18 in a gentle west-southwesterly breeze and a slight sea. It was two hours after low water .The life-boat reached the yacht at about 9.5 and confirmed that nobody was on board. The coxswain took the yacht in tow to the Walton river, where she was moored. The lifeboat returned to her moorings at 11.2..
