RADIO INVICTA Southend-on-Sea, Essex. At 9.5 p.m. on 28th September, 1964, the coastguard told the honorary secretary that one of the personnel of Radio Invicta, a wireless transmitting station on Redsand Towers, had badly injured a foot and needed medical attention. There was a slight sea with light south-westerly airs. The life-boat Greater London II (Civil Service No. 30) was launched at 10 p.m. with the honorary medical adviser on board. At 11.15 tne doctor was put on Redsand Towers with two members of the crew, who helped to bring the injured man to the life-boat, which then returned to her station at i a.m. The injured man was taken to hospital..
