Hilbre
LANDED AT PIER Beaumaris, Anglesey. At 11.15 P-mon iyth August, 1964, the Penmon coastguard told the honorary secretary that two men were in difficulties in a boat off Beaumaris and at 11.30 the life-boat Cunard, on temporary duty at the station, was launched. A gale was blowing from the south-west, the sea was rough and the tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the motor boat Hilbre at moorings in Beaumaris bay. Her crew of two had not risked using their dinghy to come ashore, but were in no danger. The lifeboat landed them at Beaumaris pier and returned to her station at 12.30 a.m..
