A Rowing Boat
Aberdeen. At 10.21 p.m. on 4th July, 1964, the coastguard told the honorary secretary that a small rowing boat with a crew of two appeared to be in distress about half a mile east of Girdleness lighthouse.
The tide was at high water with a slight sea and light airs from the west. At 10.40 the life-boat Ramsay-Dyce went to the assistance of the two boys on board the rowing boat. At 11.25 sne returned to her station with the rowing boat in tow..
