Arranmore, Co. Donegal. At 8.10 a.m. on igth June, 1964, the Arranmore lighthouse keeper informed the honorary secretary that a fishing boat was in difficulties off the lighthouse. It was half tide with a moderate to fresh north-easterly breeze. The life-boat W. M. Tihon was launched at 8.30 and on reaching the motor fishing boat St. Gerald at 9.16 towed her back to the harbour, as her engine had failed. The life-boat returned to her station at 11.20..
