SIX BOYS STRANDED Fishguard, Pembrokeshire. At 6.50 p.m. on 23rd May, 1964, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that six boys were stranded on a cuff at Pwllerochan.

There was a light north-easterly breeze, a heavy ground swell, and it was high water. The life-boat Howard Marry at was launched at 8.15 but found that the boys had been rescued by a life-saving apparatus team and a helicopter. The life-boat returned to her station at 11.15..
