RETURNED SAFELY At 8.45 a.m. on 3rd June, 1964, the coxswain informed the honorary secretary that there was a heavy swell on the harbour bar and that four local fishing boats were still at sea. At 9 a.m. the lifeboat Mary Ann Hepworth was launched and escorted the four keelboats safely to their moorings. The life-boat returned to her station at 12.45..
