UNSEATED THEN TREATED At 7.30 p.m. on 9th January, 1964, a local doctor told the honorary secretary that a young woman who had fallen from her bicycle needed hospital treatment. As no other boat was available the life-boat Mabel Marion Thompson left her station at nine o'clock with the patient, a doctor and a nurse on board. The young woman was taken to Rossaveel where an ambulance was waiting to take her to hospital.
