Tequila
OWNER'S GRATITUDE Dungeness, Kent. At 11.30 a.m. on 15th October, 1963, a man informed the honorary secretary that a small boat had fired two flares 150 yards off shore between Galloways and Dungeness. The life-boat Mabel E. Holland was launched at 11.42 in a moderate south-westerly breeze and smooth sea. The tide was ebbing. The life-boat found the boat, Tequila, of Rye, half a mile west of Dengemarsh with her engine broken down. She was taken in tow by the life-boat to Rye Harbour which was reached at 1.15 p.m.
The life-boat returned to her station at 2.30. The owner of the boat made a donation to the funds of the Institution and also arranged to make an annual donation..
