THE photographic competition announ- ced in the December, 1962, LIFE-BOAT has not been as successful as in previous years and it has been decided to extend the period to the 3151 October, 1964.

The competition is open to members of life-boat crews, branch members and officials and members of the Institu- tion's staff, and the following prizes are offered: £10 for the best 35-mm. colour transparency.

£10 for the best black and white photograph.

The winning photographs will be- come the Institution's property. Other transparencies and photographs will be returned, if requested, and acknowledg- ment will be made if they are used in the Institution's publications..
