ISLAND CALL At 2.15 p.m. on 3rd November, 1963, the local doctor informed the honorary secretary that a sick patient on Inishmaan Island needed hospital treatment. There was a fresh easterly breeze with a moderate sea. The tide was ebbing. The lifeboat Mabel Marion Thompson set out at 3 p.m. and embarked the patient at Inishmaan Island.
