MOTHER WAS ILL Kilmore, Co. Wexford. At 5 p.m. on 4th November, 1963, the Irish Lights Office asked if the life-boat would bring a seaman from the Coningbeg lightvessel to the shore where his mother was dangerously ill. At 5.15 the life-boat Ann Isabella Pyemont was launched in a fresh south-easterly breeze and corresponding sea. The tide was flooding.
