Major General Ralph H. Farrant, C.B., and Mr. Michael Vernon have been elected to the Committee of Management of the Institution.

Major General Farrant is President of the Ordnance Board, War Office.

He was commissioned in the Field and Mountain Artillery in 1929 and was promoted Major General in 1961. He is a keen yachtsman and is a member of the Royal Yacht Squadron.

Mr. Vernon, who was born in 1926, is managing director of Spillers Ltd.

He served in the Royal Marines and is Vice-Commodore of the Royal Ocean Racing Club..
