INJURED PERSON TAKEN TO HOSPITAL Barra Island, Hebrides. At 1.30 a.m.

on Wednesday the 10th of July, 1963, a doctor at Castlebay told the honorary secretary that a person was unconscious as a result of an accident and requested the use of the life-boat to take the patient to hospital at South Uist. The life-boat R. A. Colby Cubbin No. 3 was launched at two o'clock with the doctor and injured person on board. There was a moderate north-easterly wind and a moderate sea. The tide was then ebbing.
