IN September the Institution received an anonymous gift of £10,000 from a member of the Royal Thames Yacht Club. The gift was made, in the words of the donor, "in admiration of the magnificent work of the Institution" and as a mark of his esteem "for the great service it renders not only to yachtsmen in trouble but also to all who sail with the Mercantile Marine.".
