TOW FOR FISHING BOAT WITH FIVE ABOARD Llandudno, Caernarvonshire. At 1.15 on the afternoon of the 22nd June, 1963, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that red flares had been seen coming from a converted ship's boat a mile and a half off Llandudno Bay.

The life-boat Annie Ronald and Isabella Forrest was launched at 1.29 in a fresh west-south-westerly wind and a moderate sea. It was an hour and a half after high water.
