Doric II

YACHT TOWED TO HARBOUR Ramsgate, Kent. At 7.40 on the morning of the 13th March, 1963, the coxswain informed the honorary secretary that a yacht was aground on the harbour bar and in need of help. The weather was fine with light airs and a smooth sea. It was low water. The life-boat Michael and Lily Davis put out at 7.50 and came up with the yacht Doric II. She stood by until the yacht refloated at 9.3 and then took her in tow to Ramsgate harbour. The life-boat reached her station at 1.30..
