MR. H. A. Lyndsay, B.Sc., M.R.I.N.A., has been appointed consulting naval architect to the Institution. Mr. Lyndsay, who has been principal officer of Sir J. H. Biles and Company, naval archi- tects and engineers, for over thirty years, is a graduate of Glasgow University. In addition to his membership of the Royal Institute of Naval Architects he is a member of the Institute of Marine En- gineers.

He has designed a great variety of vessels, including merchant ships, dred- gers, and numerous small craft now in service in eastern waters. He was the designer of the recently completed R.M.S. Victoria, which was built for service on Lake Victoria..
