ELECTRICIANS TAKEN OFF LIGHT IN GALE Fleetwood, Lancashire. At 7.30 on the evening of the 14th December, 1962, the motor mechanic was told by the docks manager that two maintenance electricians were on Wyre light on routine maintenance work. The weather was too rough for the harbour tug to bring them ashore and the manager asked for the help of the life-boat. It was low water, and as no other boats could put out the life-boat Ann Letitia Russell was launched at 7.40 in a westerly gale and a rough sea. The life-boat picked up the two men and returned to her station, arriving at 8.45..
