TOW FOR FISHING BOAT WITH BROKEN RUDDER Sunderland, Durham. At 3.12 on the afternoon of the 3rd September, 1962, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a beach attendant at Seaburn had reported a boat burning red flares two miles north of Roker pier.
