A Motor Cruiser (1)
MOTOR CRUISER FOUND BY AID OF SEARCHLIGHT Tenby, Pembrokeshire. At 6.37 on the evening of the 23rd September, 1962, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a cabin cruiser had broken down, had run out of fuel and was drifting westward of Burry Holm.
There was hardly any wind and the sea calm. The tide was ebbing. At 6.46 the life-boat Henry Comber Brown was launched and made for Rhossili Bay.
By the use of her searchlight she found the motor cruiser and took her in tow.
The motor cruiser's crew of two were taken on board and given food, and the life-boat then towed her into Tenby harbour and reached her station at 12.45..
