YACHT RESCUES CREW OF CAPSIZED CATAMARAN Barry Dock, Glamorganshire. At 11.25 on the morning of the 16th September, 1962, the life-boat coxswain, while working in his garden, saw what appeared to be a capsized yacht drifting down channel off Sully Island. A fresh north-west wind was blowing with a rough sea. The tide was ebbing. At 11.34 the life-boat Rachel and Mary Evans was launched, and on clearing the harbour found the yacht Otter. The yacht had already picked up the crew of two of the capsized boat, a catamaran, but had herself broken down. She was in no danger, and the two men were transferred to the life-boat and landed at Barry. The Newport pilot launch took the catamaran in tow to Barry harbour.
