SIX COBLES ESCORTED IN NEAR GALE Filey, Yorkshire. At 9.5 on the morning of the 24th May, 1962, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that several local fishing cobles were still at sea. As the weather was becoming worse the life-boat The Isa & Penryn Milsted was launched at 9.15 in a north-north-westerly wind of near gale force and a rough sea. It was two hours after high water. Six fishing cobles to the north and south of Filey were escorted safely ashore, and the life-boat reached her station at 1.30..
