TOW FOR FISHING BOAT WITH BROKEN SHAFT Thurso, Caithness-shire. At 5.30 on the afternoon of the 24th April, 1962, the keeper of the Dunnet Head lighthouse informed the honorary secretary that a fishing boat with a broken propeller shaft was anchored off Dunnet Head. The life-boat Pentland (Civil Service No. 31) was launched at 5.35 at low water in light westerly airs and a calm sea. She found the fishing boat with a crew of two and took her in tow to Stroma.
