Fishing Cobles

TWELVE COBLES ESCORTED TO SHORE Filey, Yorkshire. At ten o'clock on the morning of the 22nd January, 1962, it was decided after consultation with the coastguard to launch the life-boat The Isa & Penryn Milsted, as several local fishing cobles were at sea in deteriorating weather. The life-boat put out at eleven o'clock in a west-bynortherly gale and a very rough sea.

It was low water. The life-boat escorted twelve fishing cobles safely ashore and reached her station at 2.30..
