The Motor Fishing Coble Florence

Scarborough, Yorkshire. On the after- noon of the 7th December, 1961, con- ditions deteriorated considerably at the harbour entrance. The motor fishing coble Florence had approached the har- bour twice and both times had to putto sea again. The life-boat J. G. Graves of Sheffield was therefore launched at 3.20 in a light south-westerly wind and a rough sea. It was nearly high water.

The life-boat found the Florence one mile south-south-east of Scarborough.

She escorted her in and reached her station at 3.45..
