Dover, Kent. At 5.55 on the evening of the 31st October, 1961, the eastern arm signal station informed the honor- ary secretary that a yacht was firing red flares off the signal station. The life- boat Southern Africa left her moorings at 6.5 in a strong west-south-westerly wind and a moderate sea. It was an hour and a half after high water. The life-boat found the motor yacht Ocean Reaper, whose crew had carried out repairs to her steering. She escorted the " yacht to a safe berth in the harbour and reached her moorings at 7.40..
