Margaret James
Flamborough, Yorkshire. At 4.17 on the afternoon of the 30th November, 1961, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a small fishing coble appeared to be broken down north-north-west of the coastguard look-out. The life-boat Friendly Forester was launched at 4.40 in a strong northerly wind and a moderate sea. It was one hour after low water. As the life-boat was taking the water, a message was receive that the fishing coble Margaret James had managed to get under way again, but it was decided to escort the coble safely to the beach.
The life-boat reached her station at 7.15..
