Scarborough, Yorkshire. On the 17th October, 1961, several local fishing boats were at sea, and as the weather was rapidly deteriorating it was decided to launch the life-boat to escort them to harbour. The life-boat J. G. Graves of Sheffield was launched at 12.10 in a northerly gale and a rough sea. The tide was half flood.
