Snowflake, Our Boys and Evening Star

Arbroath, Angus. At 1.45 on the after- noon of the 28th September, 1961, three local fishing boats, Snowflake, Our Boys and Evening Star, were approaching the harbour in a strong south-south-easterly wind and a rough sea. Because of the dangerous conditions at the harbour entrance it was decided to launch the life-boat The Duke of Montrose. It was two hours after low water. The life-boat escorted the three fishing boats into harbour and reached her station at 2..50.
