Tenby, Pembrokeshire. At 3.30 on the morning of the 8th August, 1961, the honorary secretary was asked by the sergeant in charge of Royal Air Force launch No. 1386 if the life-boat could put himself and his crew on board their launch, which was anchored in Tenby roads, and was in some danger. An easterly gale was blowing with a very rough sea, and the tide was flooding.

At 3.35 the life-boat Henry Comber Brown was launched and in heavy seas put the crew of the launch on board their vessel. The life-boat then re- turned to her station, arriving at 5.30..
