Our Jennie
Weymouth, Dorset. At eight o'clock on the morning of the 13th August, 1961, the coastguard informed the honorary secretary that a fishing boat needed help two miles east of the Shambles lightvessel. At 8.15 the life- boat Lloyd's was launched on a flood tide. There was a gentle south-westerly breeze and the sea was choppy. On reaching the position indicated the life- boat found the fishing boat Our Jennie with her engine broken down. She took her in tow to Weymouth, arriving at 10.45..
