A Fishing Vessel
Dover, Kent. At 11.30 on the morning of the 16th September, 1961, the coast- guard informed the honorary secretary that a fishing vessel was in difficulties a mile and a half north-east of Dover.
At 11.45 the life-boat Southern Africa left her moorings in a gentle south- south-easterly breeze and a slight sea.
It was one hour after low water. The life-boat found the fishing vessel holed and sinking. She took her in tow and reached her station at 1.13..
