Ramsey, Isle of Man. At 6.15 on the evening of the 5th May, 1961, the coast- guard informed the honorary secretary that a boy had fallen over the cliff at Maughold Head and later asked for the life-boat. At 6.35 the life-boat Frank and William Gates, on temporary duty at the station, was launched with a small boat in tow. There was a moderate westerly wind and a slight sea. The tide was half ebb. The life-boat took the boy aboard and transferred him to a waiting ambulance at Ramsey at 9.15..
